A St. Louis man arrested in Wisconsin has been charged with murder after he allegedly confessed to killing his ex-girlfriend who was reported missing last week, authorities say.
The St. Louis County Police Department announced that a warrant was issued for Trenton Ivy, 31, in connection to the disappearance and murder of his ex-girlfriend Marquisha Williams.
St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Williams, 29, and Ivy shared four children. Williams family said she was last seen dropping off her kids at daycare centers and at relatives’ houses. Williams however, never made it to work that day.
Williams aunt, Sandy Bagley, told KSDK that Williams was "very, very sweet, calm and nice. She loved her kids and we all loved being around her.”
“My niece was so excited about Christmas and really looking forward to celebrating the holiday with us and her four children,” Bagley said.

Marquisha Williams reported missing, Trenton Ivy arrested
According to the press release, Williams' family had reported her missing on Dec. 20. Police said an investigation into her disappearance showed that she was last seen with Ivy in her 2020 Jeep Compass.
On Friday, Dec. 22, St. Louis police learned that Ivy had been arrested on unrelated charges in Rancine, Wisconsin, and was the only one seen in William's car.
Detectives searched the car and reportedly found blood and biological material, along with Williams' items inside.
Ivy allegedly admitted to investigators in Rancine, that he had killed Williams during a physical altercation in St. Louis. Authorities said Ivy then disposed of her body in an unknown location.
He's being held without bond in Rancine, Wisconsin. KSDK reported that Williams family and police are still searching for her body. St. Louis police are also trying to extradite Ivy from Wisconsin.
“It’s devastating. They separated earlier this year. She was trying to co-parent with him, but she had started seeing someone else. I will be okay, but it just hurts for the kids. Her baby boy is not the happy child he normally is because he’s crying a lot. He’s missing his mom. We will keep searching for her body,” Bagley told KSDK.
