Kate Middleton and Prince William are cheering Team GB on at the 2024 Paralympics.
The couple shared some words of encouragement for Great Britain's Paralympians ahead of the Opening Ceremony in Paris Aug. 28.
"Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport," they wrote on their Instagram Stories. "Wishing the best of luck to our @paralympicsgb_official athletes and all those competing at #Paris2024."
The Prince and Princess of Wales have continued cheering on the country's Olympians and Paralympians as they compete in the world's largest sporting events this summer. In fact, the couple—who share kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6—made an unexpected appearance in a video dedicated to the Olympic team after the Closing Ceremony earlier this month.
"From all of us watching at home," Kate began in the Instagram video, "congratulations to Team GB." William, who debuted his new scruffy beard in the clip, then chimed in, "Well done on all you have achieved. You've been an inspiration to us all."
Although Kate had largely kept out of the public eye since announcing that she was undergoing cancer treatment in March, she’s slowly begun making more appearances. This month, the 42-year-old attended a Sunday service with William and George at the Crathie Kirk church in the Scottish village. The trio was also joined by King Charles III—who is also battling cancer—and his wife Queen Camilla.
And last month, she had a girls' day out with Charlotte and her sister Pippa Middleton when they spent their afternoon at Wimbledon. They also met tennis stars, including Barbora Krejcikova, Emma Raducanu and Sonay Kartal.
"Great to be back at @Wimbledon!" Kate said on Instagram at the time. "There’s nothing quite like The Championships." She even had the opportunity to present the trophy to the winner, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz.
Meanwhile, Kate continues to take her treatment in stride while giving an update on her health this summer.
"I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days," she said in a statement on Instagram in June, adding, "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months."
At the time, she emphasized her excitement for future events and “hopes to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."
